Bobbi Brown Miami Collection Summer 2012

Bobbi Brown Miami Collection Summer 2012

South Beach (Miami) is one of my favorite places to go during the summer so of course I’m loving this collection.

The Bobbi Brown Miami collection will give you that South Beach glow without the harmful rays and how gorgeous does the model look?

I’m going to have to recreate her look very soon.

I’m thinking about picking up the Bobbi Brown Shimmer Cheek Glow (bottom left) and the Bobbi Brown Shimmering Fragrance Oil (not pictured).

Anything you plan on picking up?

Bobbi Brown Miami Collection Summer 2012 will be available soon on counters and online at bobbibrown.com.

Medicine Mama’s Sweet Bee Magic Wand Review

I’m a huge fan of multifunctional beauty products, so when I heard about the Sweet Bee Magic Wand from Medicine Mama’s Apothecary I just knew I had to try it.

Sweet Bee Magic is Handcrafted at Medicine Mama’s Certified Organic Apothecary and consists of a blend of Organic and Natural ingredients including:

  • purifying propolis & honey blend
  • protective beeswax
  • nourishing extra virgin avocado oil
  • moisturizing extra virgin olive oil

This multitasker is said to be good for a variety of things including….

  • Promoting radiant, supple skin
  • Day and Night moisturizer
  • Treating rashes, burns and scars
  • Soothing dry or irritated skin
  • Preventing and healing dry chapped lips
  • Glamorizing Eyelashes

I used this product for all of the above and let me tell you it left me feeling baby soft from head to toe.

It also gave my skin a gorgeous healthy glow.

I usually review products for a month or two before giving them a stamp of approval, but I’ve only been using this one for a week and I can already tell you I love it!!

This is a must have multitasker in any beauty addicts makeup bag without a doubt.

Available here for only $12.95.

emerginC sun protector 30+ Review

April 11, 2012 by: admin

As a Floridian I’m always on the search for a great sunscreen.

I mean it’s 85 degrees here already and it’s just April!

A girl has got to protect her skin.

So I’ve been testing out the emerginC sun 30+ for the past few days and so far I love it.

It’s a super-lightweight, non-greasy sunblock that provides broad spectrum protection without leaving a white film on the skin.

I’ve worn it alone and under makeup and it works great both ways.

It melts right into your skin making it perfect for those of us who hate the look and feel of traditional sunscreens.

You can pick up EmerginC30+ here for $35.00.

Somme Institute 5-Step Regimen Review

April 9, 2012 by: admin

As a skincare addict I always jump at the chance to try new skincare products so when I was contacted by Somme Institute to try out their line of products I of course said yes.

I’ve been using the line now for about 2 months and I feel like I’ve used it long enough that I can do a honest review.

The 5 step program includes:

1. Nourishing Cleanser (blue dot): A gentle non foaming cleanser.
2. Transport Pads (purple dot): Cotton pads with MDT5 and AHA.
3. Serum (orange dot): A potent Vitamin C serum.
4. A-Bomb (green dot): A Vitamins A and E cream.
5. Double Defense (SPF 30+) (pink dot) : SPF 30+ and Parsol 1789.

My Thoughts:

I really enjoyed this line of products and I’ve already recommended it to several friends.

Old acne scars faded away with this regimen and my skin got fresher and had more of a glow.

I’ll tell you what I told my friends though( since I consider everyone who reads this blog a friend) and that’s if you can’t afford to buy the whole system which is $298.00 get steps 2,3 and 4.

Those are the essentials in my opinion.

The cleaner is nice and gentle and I love the sunscreen, but to me it seemed like the transport pads, serum and a-bomb did all the work.

Also, I will add that my skin is acne prone and while this product seemed to do really well with my skin type it did still break out occasionally and I had to spot treat with my proactive spot treatment.

I’d love to see Somme Institute come out with their own spot treatment for us acne prone girls as I’m sure that product would be just as amazing as the rest of their products.

The 5 Piece Regimen can be purchased here.

Have you tried Somme Institute products before?

What were your thoughts?

DNA EGF Renewal Foaming Facial Cleanser Review

March 30, 2012 by: admin

DNA EGF Renewal Foaming Facial Cleanser Review

I was recently given the opportunity to review the DNA EGF Renewal Foaming Facial Cleanser.

The product was made by Dr Moy who is a renowned Scientist, Researcher, Dermatologist, and Cosmetic Surgeon.

Dr. Moy spearheads a thriving dermatology and cosmetic surgery practice on Rodeo Drive, Beverly Hills, CA and at the California Health and Longevity Institute at the Four Seasons in Westlake Village, CA.

So I was beyond excited to give the product a go.

What they say:

Gentle, foaming formula provides an innovative, non-irritaring version of glycolic acid delivering gentle exfoliating action. Removes old, dull, surface dead skin to reveal clean, vibrant skin.

My thoughts:

I’m going to honest here and start off with the only negative thing I could find with this product and that’s the smell.

It stinks!

It’s not unbearable just a little “chemically” smelling, but if you can live with that this is a great cleanser.

With only one pump, the foam cleanser removes all traces of makeup and does it without stripping my skin.

Actually, it leaves my skin feeling nice and soft.

This is a great everyday cleanser and would probably work well on almost all skin types.

DNA EGF Renewal Foaming Facial Cleanser Retails for: $28.00 here.

Have you tried this cleanser before?

I’d love to hear from you.

Kate Spade Nail Lacquer

Kate Spade Nail Lacquer

Kate Spade is set to launch a four piece nail lacquer kit next month.

Each polish is named after one of artist Florence Broadhurst’s famous patterns:

Sea Foam Swirls is a aquamarine, Solar Orange a mellow tangerine, Watermelon Fingers a fun pink, and Yellow Cockatoo a sunny gold.

I’m loving Sea Foam Swirls and Yellow Cockatoo.

What about you?

The polishes will be available starting in April at www.katespade.com and will retail for $28.00.
