I’m loving the Hot Pink lipstick trend for Spring. I think it looks amazing on everyone.

From the lighter skin tones to the darker ones you really can’t go wrong with this shade.

Here are a few tips for making it work for you though….

1. The brighter the lips the lighter the rest of your makeup should be.
2. Porcelain skin tones should go with more of a bubblegum shade while darker skin tones should try a raspberry shade.
3. Having trouble with this trend? Try a hot pink gloss to ease yourself into it.

At the mall this weekend I was strolling by Victoria’s Secret when a sign in the store caught my eye.

The model in the ad had on the most gorgeous summery makeup look ever. I had to know what it was.

So off I went into the store to ask the workers about the promo photo.

Thankfully, they knew exactly what the model was wearing and I picked up both things.

The eyeshadow shade the model was wearing turned out to be the Brilliant Shimmer All Over Powder in Star.

It’s a gorgeous shade and can be used as shadow, highlighter, body shimmer, etc.

At only $14.00 for the container I consider it a steal, because it’s huge and will last forever!

I also picked up the lipgloss the model was wearing which was the Beauty Rush gloss in Tropicool ($7.00).

I’m very happy with both purchases and highly recommend them.

How fierce is she on the May cover of Cosmo UK?

Work it girl!

As many of you already know I’m addicted to beauty magazines and one of my favorites is U.K. Cosmopolitan. Which is funny because I’ve never been all that crazy about the American version.

So what do I like so much more about the UK Cosmo?

Good sized samples in most of the issues.

They list what the celebrities are using more often that the U.S. version or so it seems.

More beauty and less how to make a guy love you type of things.

And last, but not least pictures like this. Just saying….

Over the weekend, Hilary Duff, got a new hair cut.

First she tweeted:

What is the difference between group A and group B? If you answered group A is 20 somethings and group B is 30-40 somethings you’re only half right.

The biggest difference I notice is how old group A looks compared to group B. Now granted group B may have had a few things done(aka surgery), but I think they would look better regardless.

Why such a big difference? According to a new study unhealthy lifestyles are fuelling a premature ageing epidemic which is making the average woman look four years older.

Unhealthy habits such as smoking, drinking, eating junk food, using sun beds and not looking after our skin, is making women old before their time. And who wants that?

Ick!

So what can you do?

Stick to those New Years Resolutions and quit your bad habits. Smoking, Drinking, Junk Food and Tanning Beds are BAD NEWS!! Stay away.

Instead, Take care of your skin, use a retinol and eat your veggies!!
