Victoria Secret Smoky Eyes Kit Review

Victoria Secret Smoky Eyes Kit Review

I was in the mall a few days ago and decided to stop in Victoria’s Secret to see if they had any new goodies.

As I was looking around the beauty section this Smoky Eye Kit caught my eye.

I mean come on who doesn’t want Smoky Eyes like a VS supermodel?

So I picked it up and for the last few days I’ve been channeling my inner angel :)

The Kit Contains:

6 eye shadows
1 eye liner

What they say:

SEXY 101: simple steps to smoky eyes. A sultry, Smoky Eye is the go-to bombshell look. It smolders, it seduces…and it’s easier than it seems. The key: blend, blend, blend! See inside for step-by-step instructions on getting our signature Supermodel look.

My thoughts:

I love this palette. It’s highly pigmented and very easy to blend. It has everything you need to create a sexy supermodel look in a flash. If you’re looking for a new smokey eye palette on the cheap I highly recommend this one.

The Victoria Secret Smoky Eyes Kit is $15.00, but I paid $5.00 thanks to a coupon.

June 2011 Beauty Favorites

June 27, 2011 by: admin

Are you someone who has a million beauty products, but always uses the same few over and over and over?

If so you’re just like me.

It seems like I’ve used nothing, but these few products over and over again lately.

2011 Summer/June Beauty Favorites

1. Prtty Peaushun Body Lotion. This stuff is amazing!
2. Xen Tan Daily Self Tan. Best self tanner I’ve ever used!
3. Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray. Use this and your makeup won’t budge all day!
4. Origins Vitazing Moisturizer. The only “foundation” I’ve been wearing lately.
5. Pro Face No Sweat Perspiration Retardant. Use this under your foundation for those days you’ll be in the sun a lot, but still want to look fresh.
6. Organix Moroccan Argan Oil. This product prevents UV damage to your hair and leaves it soft and smooth.
7. Lorac Double Feature Concealer and Highlighter. Decent product, not sure if I’d repurchase yet though.
8. Revlon Just Bitten Lipstain in Frenzy. I normally don’t like lipstains, but this is great for a day at the beach or at the pool because it stays put.
9. Urban Decay Naked Palette. Love this palette!
10. Mehron Setting Powder. This antiperspirant product is great for keeping the summer greasy look away.
11. Victoria’s Secret Radiant Face Trio in White Hot. Love this highligher. It’s just gorgeous.
12. Not pictured, but a favorite none the less is Benefits Creaseless Shadow in RSVP. Wear this under Urban Decays Sin as a primer and my shadow lasts all day.

And a swatch. Isn’t it gorgeous?

Victoria’s Secret Brilliant Shimmer All Over Powder in Star Review

Victoria's Secret Brilliant Shimmer All Over Powder in Star Review

At the mall this weekend I was strolling by Victoria’s Secret when a sign in the store caught my eye.

The model in the ad had on the most gorgeous summery makeup look ever. I had to know what it was.

So off I went into the store to ask the workers about the promo photo.

Thankfully, they knew exactly what the model was wearing and I picked up both things.

The eyeshadow shade the model was wearing turned out to be the Brilliant Shimmer All Over Powder in Star.

It’s a gorgeous shade and can be used as shadow, highlighter, body shimmer, etc.

At only $14.00 for the container I consider it a steal, because it’s huge and will last forever!

Beauty Rush gloss in Tropicool

I also picked up the lipgloss the model was wearing which was the Beauty Rush gloss in Tropicool ($7.00).

I’m very happy with both purchases and highly recommend them.

Have you purchased anything from Victoria’s Secret lately?

Victoria’s Secret Savage Beauty Review and Swatches

April 13, 2010 by: admin

Good Morning! Happy Wednesday.

You know how on Monday I mentioned I had picked up two products from the Victoria’s Secret Savage Beauty Collection? Well, here as promised are the details and swatches of both of the items I picked up.

I picked up the eyeshadow palette in Jungle Heat and a gloss in Ravish.

Swatches of Jungle Heat and Ravish.

Overall, I’m thrilled with both of the items I picked up. The quality of the eye-shadows is just amazing and the packaging is to die for. The gloss is wonderful as well, not sticky at all just the perfect texture. Two thumbs up for both products.

I would like to go back and purchase Wild Thing powder and a cheek highlighter in Golden Sands. If I do you can expect swatches of those as well. What do you think of the Savage Beauty Collection? Please Share!

The eye shadow palette was: $15.00 and the lipgloss was $5.00 (when you purchase something else from the Savage Beauty Collection).

P.S. Doesn’t the model for the collection look so gorgeous?

Inspired by her recent trip to the spiritual city of Varanasi, India and the Indian themed vow renewal ceremony she shared with husband Seal, Exotic Jewels is Heidi’s most personal collection yet.
