January 2012 Birchbox

I just received my January Birchbox and I have to say this is my favorite one so far.

Check it out below….

LaraBar

1. Cherry Pie LaraBar

I love Larabars so I was more than happy to get this sample. No artificial fillers in these natural bars: just dried fruits, nuts, and other wholesome ingredients. Healthy and Tasty.

Clarks Botanicals Smoothing Marine Cream

2. Clark’s Botanicals Smoothing Marine Cream

Dull skin no more, thanks to the glycolic acid in this exfoliating moisturizer. The gentle tingle means its working.

Stila Smudge Stick Waterproof Eye Liner

3. Stila Smudge Stick Waterproof Eye Liner in Blue Ribbon

This waterproof eye liner makes eyes stand out and stays put for hours.

Archipelago Pomegranate Body Soap

4. Archipelago Pomegranate Body Soap

Laced with good for you pomegranate extracts, this triple milled soap smells divine and leaves skin feeling clean, not stripped.

Juicy Couture Juicy Couture

5. Juicy Couture Juicy Couture

Juicy’s signature fragrance is a blend of sweet floral notes. Sophisticated and feminine, it’s perfect for day or night. Love it!

This box was perfect for me. Like I mentioned above it’s my favorite box to date.

I love the Stila liner, the Clarks Botanicals product sounds promising, the Pomegranate soap and Juicy Couture fragrance both smell amazing and the Lara Bar was delicious!

Stila Good to Glow Set

January 6, 2010 by: admin

Happy Hump Day Ladies. How’s your week been so far? Mine’s great I’m just trying to stay warm….brrrr…. *Hates winter/cold weather*

What better thing to do on a cold day than go shopping? I mean you’re indoors where it’s warm and toasty right? So while standing in the checkout line at Sephora recently I spotted the Good to Glow set near the registers. I love Stila products and anything that promises a glow, so when I saw the $10.00 price tag I knew I had to pick it up.

This is such an amazing set. These remind me of MAC MSFs which I adore!! They go on silky smooth and are incredibly pigmented. I love using the Bronze shade as a bronzer and the Rose Gold one as a highlight on my cheekbones. They’ll have you glowing like Miss Monroe in no time.

This is such an amazing value when you consider you’re paying around $5.00 a piece for these and they’re huge. These are limited edition so run to Sephora and pick them up before they’re gone.

Have you tried the Stila Good to Glow Set? Please share your thoughts!

Whitney Port’s Makeup Tips for a 5 Minute Face

November 18, 2009 by: admin

Any Whitney Port fans out there? I have to admit I’m a fan and while checking out her blog recently I noticed she mentioned her everyday 5 minute makeup routine. Here it is:

I start by mixing Fresh High Noon tinted moisturizer with the Fresh Soy Face Cream to get a nice base with a little sunkissed glow. Then I dust Bare Minerals Powder with SPF 15 to even out my skin. Next I bronze with Guerlain Number One for Blondes on my cheeks, hairline and jawline. Then I brush a little bit of NARS Orgasm Blush on my cheekbones, a little on my forehead, nose, and chin to keep it constant. I use Anastasia brow gel to give my eyebrows a nice shape (this is especially helpful if I haven’t had time to go in to get them done.) I highlight under my eyebrows with Benefit Eye Bright and then curl my lashes with a Sephora eyelash curler. Sometimes if I’m really feeling like going all out for the day I put on Maybelline mascara.

This look is really easy to transition from day to night. I reapply the basics and use the Stila Smudge pot with a slanted brush to put eyeliner on. For my lips I love the Fresh Sugar Lip Stain with SPF in it.

Seems like a lot of steps but it really only takes 5 minutes!
