Rimmel Glam Eyes Flirt Mascara

I picked up this mascara recently during the CVS 75% off sale and boy am I glad I did.

It’s amazing.

And the wand gives you the most gorgeous long, voluminous lashes I just love it.

Rimmel Glam Eyes Flirt Mascara

This one ranks right up there with Loreal Voluminous as my favorite drugstore mascara.

Be sure to pick it up if you see it on sale or even at full price, because it’s worth it.

Small Haul CVS and Bath & Body Works

I’ve been hearing about the CVS Beauty Sale for the past few weeks, but mine never had anything. So during a trip there this weekend I was excited to see 75% off stickers on a lot of stuff.

I didn’t really “need” anything, but did pick up three things just to try out.

I got:

Almay One Coat Dial Up Mascara in Black.

Loreal Brow Stylist in Blonde.

Glam Eyes Lash Flirt Mascara from Rimmel in Kohl Black.

The total for all three was around $6.00 which is a steal in my opinion.

Then I headed over to Bath and Body Works to stock up on plugins while they’re having their semi annual sale and I also got this 2 oz Peach Citrus Body Lotion for free thanks to a coupon.

It smells amazing!! Perfect size for my purse.

Have you tried any of these products before?

Rimmel 25 Hour Foundation?

August 17, 2010 by: admin

While flipping through the new Glamour magazine I ran across an ad for the New Rimmel 25 Hour Foundation. How could I not notice the ad with the gorgeous, Georgia May Jagger, as the model? Alas, the foundation claims to be sweat, heat and humidity proof for up to 25 hours. I have to admit I’m curious to try it, but I have a few questions like….

  • Why 25 hours?  Why not 24?
  • Who wears foundation for 25 hours?
  • Who needs their foundation to look good for that long?
  • Why not show us a picture of the foundation on Georgia after 25 hours of wear?
  • Noone sleeps anymore?

If you’re one of the girls who doesn’t need sleep and you want your foundation to look fabulous for 25 hours then you can check out the foundation here.

Has anyone tried this foundation yet? What were your thoughts?

Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick Review

May 3, 2010 by: admin

How was your weekend ladies? Hope it was great.

I purchased two Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipsticks a few weeks ago and I’m loving them.

I picked up number 140 Dreamy (left) and number 220 pink chic (right).

I have to say I love these lippies. They’re amazing and totally worth the $6.00 price tag.

The Pros….
What I like about them:

  • They contain SPF 18
  • Very moisturizing
  • Apply smooth
  • Only $6.00 which is a steal!
  • Over 24 shades to choose from

The Cons….
What I don’t like about them:

  • Packaging feels a little cheap(in my opinion)
  • They have a light scent to them which some people may not like

Aren’t they gorgeous? I seriously haven’t reached for any of my expensive lippies since purchasing these. They go on so smoothly and are very moisturizing. I highly recommend you try these. I plan on picking up several more soon. Two thumbs up for these Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipsticks.

Rimmel The Max Volume Flash Mascara Review

March 17, 2010 by: admin

Happy Saint Patrick’s Day. How many of you are wearing green today? I actually forgot to, oops.

Today I wanted to tell you all about a new mascara I picked up on Friday. It’s called Rimmel Max Volume Flash.

Don’t you just love the packaging of this mascara? I have to admit that’s the only reason I picked it up. Hey, I’m a sucker for packaging what can I say? I love anything that’s pink and hot pink is even better.

The Max Volume Flash Mascara promises 14 times the volume with no mess. So does it work? Keep reading to find out.

The Pros:

It contains Collagen and Keratin which give your lashes lots of volume.
The price is pretty good at $6.99.

The Cons:

This is a very wet mascara. So you will need to touch up your eye shadow after using this product as it tends to go everywhere.

It’s a very heavy formula so your lashes won’t hold a curl.

It flakes. By the end of the day I have little flakes of mascara everywhere. Not good!

I would say pass on this mascara. Between the flakes, the heaviness and the mess it’s not worth the volume it gives. There are much better drugstore mascaras out there. My two recommendations are Loreal Voluminious and Cover Girl Lash Blast.

Maiara Walsh’s Makeup Must Haves

November 11, 2009 by: admin

Actress, Maiara Walsh, can’t live without 3 things when it comes to makeup.

They are:

1. Rimmel Soft Kohl Kajal Eye Pencil

“Rimmel Soft Kohl Kajal Eye Pencil in Denim Blue is the only blue eyeliner I’ve found that stays on! I have blue eyes so this liner can make them pop a little more.”

2. Burt’s Bees Beeswax Lip Balm

“I love Burt’s Bees Beeswax Lip Balm. I always have it with me!”

3. L’oreal Paris True Match Foundation

“For foundation I’ve been using L’oreal Paris True Match Foundation, which you can get for $10, and it works well!”

It seems Maiara is a fan of drugstore brands. What are your favorite drugstore products? At the moment mine would be PlusWhite Whitening Gel, Hard Candy lipstick in Fire Alarm, Loreal Telescopic Explosion Mascara and Elf brushes (great brushes for the price).

Rimmel Sexy Curves Mascara Review

April 27, 2009 by: admin

I think it’s safe to say that I’m addicted to mascara. I have 8 open ones in my makeup case right now and several others waiting to be used. Did that stop me from picking up Rimmel Sexy Curves at CVS last week then? No! Haha. What? Hey, I told you I’m addicted.

What they say:

Lash plumping, full curve mascara. Fuller figured brush – fuller figured lashes. Curves in all the right places! The first Triple Plump brush with 3 x the curves for 70% curlier lashes.

My thoughts:

The first few times I tried this mascara I thought it was just OK. It didn’t really wow me and I didn’t really see 70% curlier lashes. But the more I used it the more I fell in love with it. You have to take your time with this mascara to really see the benefits in my opinion.

I decided to first curl my lashes with a lash curler. Then I took the mascara wand and made sure to push the brush up against my lashes and wiggle the brush around. Once I got the technique down the results were wonderful. My lashes looked curlier, more defined, and the best part is I didn’t experience any clumping at all. I’ve been picking it up over my mascara of choice Cover Girl Lash Blast for the last week. If you’re in need of a new mascara I would highly recommend Sexy Curves. It works great and only costs around $7.99.

A Spring Must Have Rimmel Mousse Blush Review

April 7, 2009 by: admin

I heard about this product on Oprah awhile back and decided to pick it up. I’ve been using it for awhile now and I can’t believe I’m just now getting around to reviewing it, because it’s a wonderful product.

The name is a little misleading because when I think of mousse I think of the Maybelline mousse products and this one is a totally different consistency. The Rimmel blush is more like a yogurt in consistency than a mousse, but once you get over that you’ll love it.

This blush is great for that bare faced natural look. It leaves your skin with a nice natural healthy glow. This is a spring must have item in my opinion. Available in 4 shades my favorite one being Peach Iced Tea.

This product is a steal at only $3.99. Available at CVS and other drugstores nationwide.

Have you tried this product? What were your thoughts?
