Neutrogena Healthy Skin Anti-Wrinkle Intensive Moisturizing Treatment Review

April 30, 2009 by: admin

Are you looking for a product that multitasks? Would you like to fight aging and block harmful rays at the same time? If you answered yes then keep reading.

I was in need of a new moisturizer and I prefer mine to have SPF so while I was browsing CVS recently I came across this product called Neutrogena Healthy Skin Anti-Wrinkle Intensive Moisturizing Treatment with SPF 20. It sounded wonderful so I decided to go ahead and purchase it.

What they say about it:

Deep wrinkle moisturizing treatment. A concentrated Retinol treatment with Hyaluronic Acid & Helioplex. The moisturizing formula, infused with concentrated Retinol plus Hyaluronic Acid, helps accelerate surface cell turnover pushing newer younger cells to the surface. In just 2 weeks, see even the deepest wrinkles start to fill in and smooth out. Concentrated Retinol helps provide a powerful advantage against deep wrinkles and advanced signs of photo-damage. Hyaluronic Acid helps replenish skin with line plumping moisture, rejuvenating skin to look younger and healthier. Helioplex stabilized broad spectrum UVA/UVB sunscreen technology provides superior anti-aging protection to help prevent deep wrinkles caused by everyday exposure to the sun’s damaging rays. Formula clinically proven to: soften and smooth skin. Reduce appearance of fine lines & wrinkles.

Our thoughts:

I really like this product. It blocks harmful rays and moisturizes my skin both while fighting aging. What more could you ask for? I do have to say that I don’t have any wrinkles so I don’t know how well it would work on those. I do have some fine lines around my eyes which seem to be getting better with the use of this product and Philosophy’s Help Me (which I use at night).

Have you tried this product? What were your thoughts?

Six Products I can’t live without

March 27, 2009 by: admin

This is a tag from Kate E. She emailed and asked if I would do a list of six products I can’t live without. The rules say that one product has to be hair care, one skincare, and one make up item….the other 3 products can be anything I want. This was a lot harder than I imagined, but here goes.

1. (Skin)Philosophy Purity Made Simple

This is the best face wash hands down in my opinion. It’s gentle, natural, and effective. I’ve had a lot of people mention how expensive it is, but I buy the 24 oz size from Sephora which costs around $40.00 and it lasts me an entire year so it’s really not that expensive at all.

2. (Hair)Jonathan Shampoo Serious Volume Volumizing Shampoo

I love love love love this shampoo. It makes my hair so healthy and voluminous. It’s also sulfate free and vegan. I love vegan/natural products so I was very excited when I found this one.

3. (Makeup) Bare Minerals Foundation

I started using this product around 2005 and have tried numerous foundations since then, but I always go back to this one. It’s easy to apply and leaves your skin looking amazing.

4. (Skin) Philosophy Help Me Retinol

This product has changed my skin dramatically. Help Me goes to work on your fine lines and clogged pores. I can’t believe the results I’ve seen with this product in such a short time.

5. (Makeup) Urban Decay Primer Potion

This is a totally nude eye base that glides on your skin and then disappears instantly. It’s the ultimate eye prep for smoother, longer-lasting, crease-proof eyeshadow. It’s so amazing I don’t go a single day without it.

6. (Skincare) Neutrogena Age Shield SPF 90 Face Sunblock with Helioplex

This product brings you protection against both UVA/UVB rays. The lightweight lotion absorbs quickly into skin for a fresh, non-greasy feel. We’ve got to prevent aging as much as we can. I hear girls all the time talking about reversing the signs of aging with plastic surgery, but my philosophy is I’d rather prevent it than reverse it.

That’s it my six products I can’t live without. What products made your list? I’d love to hear them. Have a great weekend ladies.

Neutrogena Sun Fresh Sunless Lotion Review

June 2, 2008 by: admin

It’s summertime which means it’s time to bring out the shorts and swimsuits! I thought I was ready but while I was out shopping recently I caught a glance of my SUPER PALE self in the mirror and couldn’t believe I was out in public blinding everyone with my paleness. Needless to say I stopped by Target on the way home and picked up Neutrogena Sun Fresh Sunless Lotion.

What they say:

Neutrogena Sun Fresh Sunless Lotion gives you a beautiful, flawless finish. Neutrogena sun fresh sunless lotion for a fresh, new approach to a natural looking tan. This sunless lotion features an ultra light formula that infuses skin with sheer, natural looking color, then seals it in with skin silkening hydration. Guaranteed to absorb smoothly and evenly for color that is naturally radiant and never fake or flat.

Our thoughts:

I’ve been using this product for about a week now and really like it. It has a very light grapefruit – orangish scent which is actually very pleasant, and the lotion absorbs quickly. I tried the shade light- medium and didn’t notice a huge color payoff but I was very pale to begin with so that could be the problem. I think I’ll try the darkest shade next time but other than that I would recommend this product.

Have you tried this self tanner? What were your thoughts?
