Fall 2010 Make Up For Ever Moulin Rouge Collection

July 19, 2010 by: admin

Make Up For Ever wants to take us to Paris this Fall with their collection Moulin Rouge.

The collection is very small consisting of only four products. I love this collection, mainly the lashes and crystal gems, but I just wish it were bigger. How can a collection consist of only four products?

What are your thoughts on the Moulin Rouge collection? Please share.

March 1, 2010 by: admin

Happy Monday! Any Days of Our Lives fans out there? Days of Our Live’s star, Shelley Hennig, recently shared her beauty musts with Sophisticate’s Hair Magazine. What are they you ask? Find out below….

Makeup For Ever UV Prime

“If I’m going to an event or out for the night, I use Make Up For Ever UV Prime. It’s like a lotion. I rub it on my hands and apply it to my face. It blends perfectly, no matter how tan or pale I get, because it’s very sheer.”

Loreal Voluminous Mascara

“Since I was in high school, I’ve been using Loreal Voluminous Mascara. I will not switch to any other mascara.”

SOMA Hair Technology and Sebastian Hair Products

“Soma has a great line including volumizing sprays and leave in conditioners. I also have a Sebastian Professional mousse that I put in my hair to give it texture.”

Make Up For Ever High Definition Powder Review

February 5, 2009 by: admin

What they say:

This unique, extremely fine powder was created to meet the new needs of digital imagery and all women who want a beautiful complexion in daylight. Extra fine and available in one universal shade, this powder makes skin absolutely radiant. Its talc-free formula does not dry skin.

What we say:

I received this for Christmas and have been using it daily ever since. It’s a wonderful product for those of us with oily skin. I use my Bare Escentuals foundation first and then finish it off with this product and my skin looks flawless and oil free all day long. It also leaves your skin feeling velvety soft. I like it a lot and highly recommend it.

The only bad thing I can say about this product is that it’s $30.00 for a 0.35 oz jar and the only ingredient is silica. You can purchase an ounce of 100% silica online at places like Coastal Scents and it only costs around $4.00. I think I’ll go that route once I run out of the HD powder and see how well it compares.

Have you tried this product yet? What were your thoughts?
