Lush Haul

May 25, 2011 by: admin

I’ve been MIA again lately and I apologize.

My adorable 6 month old nephew and his momma flew in to visit me from Seattle and I’ve been busy enjoying them.

One of the first things we did when they got here was to head to Lush.

I’ve got my sister in law addicted to Lush and that’s all she wanted for her birthday.

So off we went. I think she ended up with about 6 Dorothy’s.

And I of course had to pick some stuff up for myself while I was there.

So here are the things I ended up getting.

Lush Demon In The Dark

Demon in the Dark Soap

A fresh and minty little demon. I’m a Godmother/Rockstar kind of girl so I was surprised when I fell in love with this soap. I don’t know there’s just something about it I love.

Porridge Soap

Porridge Soap

A bar of porridge to start the day. Porridge is a very gentle soap that really helps to care as it cleans. When the oats mix with hot water, they create a calming milk that softens your entire body. This is a soap I constantly repurchase. Love it.

Ice Blue Soap

Ice Blue Soap

The intense and tingly peppermint soap. Peppermint has this amazing quality of making you feel cool when you’re hot and warm when you’re cold. When you’re in a warm shower, rub Ice Blue soap on your body and it gives you a refreshing, tingly feeling all over.

Bon Bain Bonnard

Bon Bain Bonnard

Leaves your water very pretty and colorful. Love it.

Dragon's Egg

Dragon’s Egg

As you bathe in the whirlpool of vibrant, fiery colour and inhale the refreshing sherbet scent of lemon and bergamot, you’ll feel like you’re up and away on the back of your own dragon. Citrus oils are known for their invigorating effect on the mind, and Dragon’s Egg is no exception! Drop one of these baby dragons in the bath for a serious wake-up call on groggy mornings or before evenings out.

Loved this one so much I went back and bought two more later on in the week.

Lovely Jubblies

And last but not least I got a sample of Lovely Jubblies Breast Cream.

This lotion is packed full of tightening meadowsweet infusion and firming tiger lily petals to help your girls fight the forces of gravity. The guy at lush told me to use it anywhere I feel I need tightening so I’ve been putting this product all over my entire body, lol. I’ll let you know shortly how it works.

New from Lush: Summer Pudding and 9 to 5 Cleanser

June 23, 2010 by: admin

Some new goodies from Lush.

Summer Pudding

Summer Pudding was created by Noriko, who was inspired by that staple of a British summer. Just like a real pudding, it’s brimming with pieces of fruit. It’s a creamy soap that scents your body with its fruity fragrance. It contains scrubby ground almonds, softening almond oil, and cleansing citrus oil. And you’ll find it as difficult to resist as a slice of pudding.

The next one is an ode to Miss. Dolly Parton herself.

9 To 5 Cleanser

Like Dolly says, 9 to 5 is quite the way to make a living. It can take its toll on the skin and leave you looking like she might without the cosmetic procedures. This is a gentle liquid cleanser made with almond oil, an extract of dove orchids and everlasting flower absolute. Orchids and everlasting flower soothe and clean the skin thoroughly with a mild antibacterial action, and almond gives you a silky smooth feeling. It’s great for taking off stubborn make-up and gives a fresh feeling after use.

Both products are now available here.

Lush Lovely Jubblies Breast Cream

April 12, 2010 by: admin

You take care of your hair, skin and nails, but what about your lovely jubblies? Lush has just launched a new cream for those as well.

Lovely Jubblies Breast Cream is a product designed to keep your bits firm and supple. A blend of cold-pressed, organic oils keep your knockers and decolletage in tip – top shape. And the tightening action of meadowsweet mixed with the fragrant, floral boo-kay of orange blossom and rose will give you the loveliest jubblies in town.

Has anyone tried Lovely Jubblies yet? I’m dying to hear reviews.

Available at Lush.uk here.

Lush Charlotte Island Bronzing Body Tint

April 1, 2010 by: admin

OMG! Lush has just introduced a new bronzing body tint. This is so exciting because I’m all about a fake glow. Here’s what they have to say about it.

Everyone will want to spend some time with Charlotte! Our new bronzing body tint helps you to build a healthy glow without having to subject yourself to excessive sunlight. We’ve made it with organic lemon infusion, organic oils and cocoa butter to brighten and hydrate the skin. Just smooth it on your white bits for a subtle tan; inhale the fruity fragrance and you’ll feel like you’ve been sunning yourself on a tropical island.

Charlotte Island is available on the Lush UK site right now. I just added this to my cart so I’ll let you know what I think once it arrives.

Have you tried Charlotte Island yet? What were your thoughts?

Lush Skincare Routine Helped Cure My Acne

March 31, 2010 by: admin

Happy Wednesday! How’s it going?

As many of you know I have been having a lot of problems with my skin lately. Until my late twenties I had perfect skin, but then one day out of nowhere boom acne. Needless, to say I wasn’t very happy about it.

Being the beauty addict I am I have tried everything to clear my skin, but nothing ever seemed to work. Actually, some things made it even worse (I’m looking at you Clinique Acne Soap).

Thankfully, one day while I was in Lush I asked the girl who was working about their skincare products and for someone with my skin type (oily/combo) she recommended several things. I bought them all immediately and have been using them for about two months now. The products have helped my skin tremendously so I knew I had to tell you about them.

Here’s my current routine….

Morning:

Step 1: Wash with Lush Fresh Farmacy Cleanser. It contains chamomile and rose to soothe, and a bit of tea tree oil to help cleanse for blemish-free skin.

Step 2: Apply Lush Grease Lightning Cleanser to spots. Put this on spots and they’re gone in two days max.

Step 3: Use Neutrogena Healthy Skin Anti Wrinkle with SPF.

Night:

Step 1: Wash with Aveeno Positively Radiant Cleanser or Lush Babyface soap which both remove makeup really well.

Step 2: Use Lush Fresh Farmacy Cleanser

Step 3: Use Lush Tea Tree Water Toner.

Step 4: Use the Lush Grease Lightning Cleanser on spots if needed.

Step 5: I use Lush Vanishing Cream Moisturizer. This is a low fat moisturizer for oily and acne-prone skin

Sometimes I do it a little differently, but for the most part that’s my current routine. My skin is finally getting back to normal and I have Lush to thank for it.

I hope this routine will help someone else who’s dealing with acne prone skin at the moment. Have you ever tried any of the Lush products before? If so what were your thoughts?

Lush Dupes at Target?

March 11, 2010 by: admin

How’s it going? Hope you’re having a great Thursday. I just wanted to tell you all about this new line of Lush like Bath and Body products I spotted while shopping Target last weekend.

The brand is called One and they offer everything from soaps to shampoo bars.

I didn’t pick up anything from the line because I already own so many Lush items, plus the things I smelled from the One line didn’t smell pretty. See I’m all about Lush products like Honey I Washed the Kids, Rockstar and Godmother which smell fruity, sweet and yummy.

I think if you’re someone who enjoys the more “earthy” Lush scents then you would probably love the smell of the One products. I do really want to try the shampoo bars though that’s one thing I haven’t tried from Lush that I’ve been meaning to pick up.

So anyway, just wanted to let you know about this line in case you don’t live near a Lush and are interested in similar products. Has anyone tried the One line? What were your thoughts? I’d love to hear reviews.
