January 5, 2012 by: admin

New Yoga Brand KiraGrace

KiraGrace, a new yoga apparel brand, launched today with The Goddess Collection, a line of technical yoga gear designed to celebrate women’s beauty, strength and grace.

Founded by Kira Karmazin, an expert in women’s fashion apparel and a lifelong yoga student, KiraGrace was designed to inspire women moving through life’s journeys. Karmazin has spent her entire career in women’s fashion apparel and was the force behind many successful product lines at Lucy Activewear, Victoria’s Secret and Gap. Her passion for yoga and love of fashion led her to create her own line of performance activewear: The KiraGrace Goddess Yoga Collection.

“The Goddess Collection was designed to inspire women to embrace their own grace and feminine strength,” said Karmazin. “It is a highly technical, performance yoga collection that is elegant, body conscious, sexy and sophisticated.”

The KiraGrace Goddess Yoga Collection combines beauty, strength and wisdom. It features nine unique pieces intended to enhance individual goddess shapes. The collection offers three distinct fits: the Diana fit (athletic), the Victoria fit (natural) and the Venus fit (curvy). Whether you are the athletic warrior Diana or the voluptuous Venus, the Goddess Collection has a style for you.

The Goddess Collection is available online starting today at kiragrace.com. For more information visit kiragrace.com or facebook.com/KiraGraceyoga.

Kinerase to launch a new skincare line this February

January 31, 2011 by: admin

Skin care brand Kinerase has created a lower-priced offering called Dr. LeWinn by Kinerase, which will start appering at Walmart and Walgreens stores sometime next month.

The line will offer 10 products ranging in price between $10 and $35. Compare that to $100+ for Kinerase’s main line. The price sounds much better to me what about you?

According to WWD:

Dr. LeWinn by Kinerase will “bring to mass not only a dermatology perspective but a plastic-surgery perspective,” said Jen Smoot, marketing director for Aliso Viejo, Calif.-based Valeant’s U.S. cosmeceuticals division. She added it will have “the latest ingredients that you find in department stores but don’t find outside of department stores until three of four years later.” Still, she noted that Dr. LeWinn by Kinerase products would have “only two to three cosmeceutical-grade ingredients” versus 10 to 12 in a Kinerase prestige product.

What do you think of this? Will you be trying out the new Kinerase products?

Charlize Theron’s Beauty Obsessions

February 2, 2010 by: admin

I don’t know about you, but I think Charlize Theron is one of the most gorgeous women out there. She always looks so natural and flawless. Don’t you think?

If you’re interested in learning more about her favorite beauty products then look no further, she recently shared them with Glamour magazine.

Her obsessions include:

1. Dior J’Adore Eau De Toilette

“There’s something adventurous about J’Adore – it reminds me of traveling.”

2. Cetaphil and Chapstick.

“I really like Cetaphil – it’s a good face wash. And cherry ChapStick!

3. Kiel’s Tea Tree Oil Shampoo.

“I love it because I color my hair and my scalp gets dry. It really moisturizes.”

4. Anything by Stella McCartney.

“It’s all animal friendly. I always have a bit of Stella with me.”

Demi Moore’s Top Makeup and Beauty Must Haves

January 9, 2010 by: admin

I don’t know about you, but I think Demi Moore looks amazing these days. At 47 Demi looks better than ever.

The actress recently spoke to Instyle Magazine about her must have beauty products and they were….

  • La Mer The Lip Balm: “I like to keep a great balm in every handbag.”
  • Redken Extreme Deep Fuel: “Moisture is key for keeping hair glossy.”
  • Maybelline New York Great Lash Mascara: “So simple. You can’t go wrong with it.”
  • Kevyn Aucoin Beauty Sensual Skin Enhancer: “When you work this foundation in with your fingers, it gives an incredibly natural finish.”
  • Chris McMillan Rejuvenating Shampoo: “I change up my shampoo so that my hair doesn’t get used to it. This is what I’m using now.”

I’d love to know if she really uses Maybelline Great Lash Mascara. La Mer I can see, but Great Lash? Hmmmm….

Kimiko Beauty Hydrating Tint Review

October 21, 2009 by: admin

If you’re someone like myself who doesn’t like wearing a heavy foundation, but still needs a bit of coverage then a tinted moisturizer may be for you. I was sent the Kimiko Beauty Hydrating Tint to review recently and I’m loving it.

What they say:

Say goodbye to heavy sunblock! The Kimiko Hydrating Tint SPF 20 delivers a beautifully natural glow to your skin and physically blocks harmful UV rays with its use of natural sunscreens zinc oxide and titanium.

Kimiko Hydrating Tint SPF 20 Features:

* Weightless, antioxidant-rich mineral tint moisturizer.
* 3-in-1 product moisturizes, helps protect your skin with sunscreen and helps even out skin tone.
* Broad spectrum UVA/UVB protection.
* Hydrating, water-based and light-reflecting tint.
* Gentle on skin and helps diminish the appearance of fine lines.
* Non-irritating and perfect for sensitive skin.
* Sheer satin coverage and light-reflecting minerals help provide a radiant and flawless-looking finish.
* Made in USA.

Our Thoughts:

This water based hydrating tint goes on sheer and leaves your skin with a beautiful natural glow. It’s great for people like myself who have acne prone / sensitive skin because it’s so gentle. It applies quickly and easily and the coverage will last all day. Wear alone as a tint or layer on more of the product for a stronger coverage. I love this tint and I highly recommend it! I also love the meaning behind the word Kimiko. Kimiko is comprised of three Japanese characters that translate to Energy (Ki), Beauty (Mi) and Youth (Ko). Don’t you just love that?

The tint is available in six shades….

* Osaka Opal – very fair complexions.
* Sapporo Sand – light complexions.
* Honshu Honey – light and medium/light complexions.
* Tokyo Tan – medium complexions.
* Kyoto Cream – medium and tan/medium complexions.
* Nagano Nutmeg – deep and tan complexions.

For anyone interested I wear the shade Honshu Honey.

Retails for: $43.00.

Kristen Bell’s Fave Beauty Products

October 20, 2009 by: admin

What’s behind Kristen Bell’s killer bod, glowing skin, and shiny hair? Find out below.

Kristen is a vegetarian and loves a good salad. One of her favorite salads is called “Garbage Disposal Salad”:

“Oh my gosh, it’s the best! I usually start with spinach, then put in almonds, pine nuts, dried cranberries, blueberries, apples, broccoli, cucumbers, carrots and celery. Believe it or not; it tastes good together. Put some feta or Parmesan on top and you don’t even need dressing.”

Another thing she loves is Kale Chips.

“A great way to get everything the superfood kale has to offer. Break off the stems and break the leaves into potato chip size pieces. Then drizzle them in olive oil, put sea salt on them, and bake em for 10 minutes at 400 degrees. Tasty.”

Wen Cleansing Conditioner

“It feels like a conditioner, but it actually cleanses your hair. And it doesn’t make you an oily mess.”

Kiehl’s Cucumber Toner

“It cleans your skin, but it doesn’t strip your skin.”

The Solution Moisturizer

“It’s completely natural-so much so that it goes bad after a couple of months. It’s that healthy.”
