Eyeko Graffiti Eyeliner Pen Review and Swatches

August 3, 2010 by: admin

Happy Tuesday! Hope you’re having a great week so far.

As you all know I really enjoy Eyeko products. They have such adorable packaging and they really work. So when I was given the opportunity to review the Graffiti Eyeliners I of course said yes!

What they say:

Emphasize your eyes in one quick stroke! Create this seasons dramatic eye looks with Eyeko Graffiti Eyeliner Pen.

The precision brush nib is super easy to control to draw on thick or thin lines.

My Thoughts:

This is a great, affordable felt tip eyeliner pen. It’s very easy to apply, long lasting and even smudge proof once dry. I’ve been wearing this liner everyday since receiving them and they’re great. My favorite shades are the black and purple. I’ve been wearing them together a lot and it looks great. I should probably take a picture of that to show you right?

The Pros:

  • long lasting
  • smudge proof
  • easy to apply
  • versatile applicator so you can create a thin or thick line depending on the pressure applied
  • only $8.00

The Cons:

  • If you’ve never used a eyeliner pen it may take some getting used to

Here’s a great tip from Eyeko for those who may be new to liquid liners.

For fool proof eyeliner dot across the upper lid as close to the lashes as possible then simply join the dots! Wing it, flick it, have fun with it! Team with lashings of Eyeko Magic Mascara for a flirtatious flutter!

Available in shades:jet BLACK, eye brightening NAVY BLUE, natural BROWN, fierce PURPLE.

You can purchase these liners at Eyeko.com.

Eyeko Rain Polish and Saucy Polish Swatches and Review!

July 20, 2010 by: admin

Look over my nails and sloppy polish application. I was so excited to try the polish I applied it more sloppy than I normally would.

I was recently sent two new limited edition polishes from Eyeko — Rain (“for city nails”) and Saucy (“for naughty nails”) for review. I’m a huge fan of Eyeko polishes so I was beyond excited to try them.

The first one I tried was Rain. I’m not lying when I say I love this shade. I don’t think I’ve seen anything quite like before. It’s a gorgeous blue, gray shade with light shimmers, just lovely. It’s a very hard shade to describe, but believe me it’s amazing.

I was also sent Saucy and while I’m not a fan of red nail polish this one was very pretty. It’s a deep red different from most other reds on the market today. It’s a very pretty polish, but I’m definitely more of a Rain girl. You could probably tell that from the fact that Saucy only made it onto one nail though right? Haha.

Both polishes apply very nicely. Very good quality. I highly recommend these Eyeko polishes.

Eyeko Nail Polish Love!

June 23, 2010 by: admin

Morning Chickies. Hope all is well.

Have you ladies ever heard of the brand Eyeko?

I hadn’t until recently, but boy am I loving them now.

For those that are new to the brand a quick introduction:

Eyeko means LOVE in Japanese and is the brainchild of beauty innovators Max and Nina Leykind. Born in London in 2000, Eyeko has become the go-to-brand for the latest in make-up must haves. Part Brit girl, part Tokyo cutie – Eyeko offers WOW products that define sweet London style.

I was recently sent some polishes to review from Eyeko and they’re lovely.

The shades I received were Tea Party (for country girls), Posh (for ladylike nails), Nude (for perfect nails), Indigo and Cosmic (for space age nails).

I’m absolutely loving the first three with Posh being my favorite. The one I really really want to try though is the vintage green shade. Isn’t it the cutest?

I love that the Eyeko polishes are Formaldehyde and Toluene free. I recently had to give up my beloved OPI polish because they still contain those chemicals with I’m a little uncomfortable with.

I can get a week of wear out of these polishes easily with a base and top coat.

I’m back and Favorite Highlighters for Summer 2010

June 10, 2010 by: admin

I’m back!! Did you miss me? I hope so, because I missed you guys so much! I can’t believe it’s been so long since my last post…. I’m so sorry. I’ve been dealing with a lot of computer/internet problems lately….grrr. And on top of that sinus/allergy issues have been kicking my butt.

Today is a new day though and it seems the internet/computer issues have been fixed (crosses fingers) and I’m feeling much better so hopefully I’m here to stay!

So on that note….Today I wanted to discuss highlighters. I don’t know about you, but I’m obsessed with them at the moment. I have over 20 of them, but I always seem to reach for the same 4 products. Find out which ones they are below.

Eyeko Beauty Cream, Benefit High Beam, Elf Lilac Petal and Mac Silver Dusk.

Photobucket
(Pictured in order are: Eyeko Beauty Cream, Benefit High Beam, Elf Lilac Petal and Mac Silver Dusk).

All of these products are very similar as you can see from the swatches. In fact Elf Lilac Petal and Benefit High Beam are so close I’d consider Lilac Petal a dupe for High Beam. The biggest difference between the two? The price: Benefit High Beam is $24.00 while the Elf Shimmering Facial Whip in Lilac Petal is only $1.00 at Target!!

What are your favorite highlighters? I’d love to hear from you so please share.

Note: I received a press sample of the Eyeko Beauty Cream for review and the MAC Silver Dusk is a sample I got from my sister.
