Cynthia Vincent for Target Black Strappy Ring Flat Sandals

May 12, 2010 by: admin

Hi ladies! How’s your week going so far? Hope it’s great.

Have you seen the new Cynthia Vincent for Target shoe collection yet? I checked it out recently and feel in love with these strappy sandals.

Aren’t they adorable? Perfect shoes for Spring and Summer. And they’re so comfortable you won’t believe it. I’m a flip flop girl during the summer, but these shoes have hardly left my feet since I bought them. Love, love, love them.

Cynthia has lots of other cute shoes at Target as well, but they were out of my size in almost all of them. Bummer!

If you like these hurry and pick them up before they’re gone.

Retail: $24.99 at Target.

Review: CoverGirl’s New LashBlast Fusion Mascara

April 26, 2010 by: admin

Hello girls. How are you? Hope you’re having a great Monday.

I wanted to start the week off with a review of a new product I’ve been using for close to a month now, CoverGirl’s New LashBlast Fusion Mascara.

Lashblast Fusion is said to combine the best of both worlds – giving you both volume and length. So does it work?

Not really. It adds some volume, but no length. It’s also hard to remove and tends to get clumpier easier than the original.

Overall, My final verdict is : I like it, but I don’t love it. This mascara will never become a holy grail for me like the original lash blast has. Pretty disappointing. I give it a 3.5 out of 5 stars.

Have you tried this mascara yet? What are your thoughts?

Retails for: $8.99 at Target

February 11, 2010 by: admin

Kellie Pickler recently shared her favorite beauty, hair and skincare products with Sophisticates Hairstyle Guide. Keep reading to find out what products she can’t live without.

On her skincare routine:

“I use Neutrogena face wash, but the key thing is moisturizer. I use Creme de la Mer. It’s expensive, but it’s the best moisturizer ever – you definitely get your money’s worth.”

On her favorite beauty products:

“I love Mascara – I have to have it. I have tried every mascara and am sold on L’Oreal Featherlash.”

“If I’m in WalMart, I have to buy some lipgloss. I love the Bonne Bell Lipsmackers lipgloss in Strawberry.”

On her favorite haircare products:

“I’ve been using Sexy Hair products for a couple years and I’m thrilled to be working with them. Katharine McPhee first introduced me to them. I love the volumizing sprays; they really hold your hair in place. And Play Dirty is amazing! I just spray it on and mess me hair up a little bit with my hands.”

“I really like Cetaphil – it’s a good face wash. And cherry ChapStick!

3. Kiel’s Tea Tree Oil Shampoo.

“I love it because I color my hair and my scalp gets dry. It really moisturizes.”

“It’s all animal friendly. I always have a bit of Stella with me.”

Probiotics: Are they a cure for acne?

February 1, 2010 by: admin

I’m 31 and you would think that I would be well past the acne stage by now, but no acne is something I’m dealing with more now than ever before….pouts.

I was reading Shape Magazine (Feb 2010 Issue) and came across some good news for us acne sufferers.

Creams and cleansers that contain probiotics can help you clear up acne. They change the PH of your skin “making it inhospitable for blemish – causing bacteria.” says Tami Meraglia, M.D, a Seattle based physician.

She also recommends taking a probiotic supplement saying:

“And popping a probiotic supplement can enhance the complexion clearing effect.”

Some of the products that were recommended in the article are Clinique Medical Probiotic Cleanser ($28.00) , Epicuren Discovery Acidophilus Probiotic Facial Cream ($60.00) and Sonya Dakar Acidophilus Flora Dietary Supplement ($44.00).

I’m very interested in trying a probiotic cleanser, but they all seem fairly expensive. Do you know of a good Probiotic cleanser? Has anyone tried the Clinique product yet? Any one ever find that taking a probiotic has helped clear up their acne? Please share.
