Current Obession: Palettes

July 28, 2011 by: admin

I need more palettes like the Kardashians need more clothes so why then am I obsessing over them so much lately?

I currently want the Tarte True Blood Palette, Urban Decay 15 Year Anniversary Palette, Bobbi Brown Bronze Tortoiseshell Palette and the Smashbox Photo Op Eye Palette for Blue Eyes.

Not sure If I’ll end purchasing any of them as I’m not sure which one I want the most.

I think it’s the Tarte one….no Urban Decay….No Tarte….

What are you obsessing over at the moment?

June 2011 Beauty Favorites

June 27, 2011 by: admin

Are you someone who has a million beauty products, but always uses the same few over and over and over?

If so you’re just like me.

It seems like I’ve used nothing, but these few products over and over again lately.

2011 Summer/June Beauty Favorites

1. Prtty Peaushun Body Lotion. This stuff is amazing!
2. Xen Tan Daily Self Tan. Best self tanner I’ve ever used!
3. Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray. Use this and your makeup won’t budge all day!
4. Origins Vitazing Moisturizer. The only “foundation” I’ve been wearing lately.
5. Pro Face No Sweat Perspiration Retardant. Use this under your foundation for those days you’ll be in the sun a lot, but still want to look fresh.
6. Organix Moroccan Argan Oil. This product prevents UV damage to your hair and leaves it soft and smooth.
7. Lorac Double Feature Concealer and Highlighter. Decent product, not sure if I’d repurchase yet though.
8. Revlon Just Bitten Lipstain in Frenzy. I normally don’t like lipstains, but this is great for a day at the beach or at the pool because it stays put.
9. Urban Decay Naked Palette. Love this palette!
10. Mehron Setting Powder. This antiperspirant product is great for keeping the summer greasy look away.
11. Victoria’s Secret Radiant Face Trio in White Hot. Love this highligher. It’s just gorgeous.
12. Not pictured, but a favorite none the less is Benefits Creaseless Shadow in RSVP. Wear this under Urban Decays Sin as a primer and my shadow lasts all day.

And a swatch. Isn’t it gorgeous?

Small Haul CVS and Bath & Body Works

Small Haul CVS and Bath & Body Works

I’ve been hearing about the CVS Beauty Sale for the past few weeks, but mine never had anything. So during a trip there this weekend I was excited to see 75% off stickers on a lot of stuff.

I didn’t really “need” anything, but did pick up three things just to try out.

I got:

Almay One Coat Dial Up Mascara in Black.

Loreal Brow Stylist in Blonde.

Glam Eyes Lash Flirt Mascara from Rimmel in Kohl Black.

The total for all three was around $6.00 which is a steal in my opinion.

Then I headed over to Bath and Body Works to stock up on plugins while they’re having their semi annual sale and I also got this 2 oz Peach Citrus Body Lotion for free thanks to a coupon.

It smells amazing!! Perfect size for my purse.

Benefit Stay Put Set Review

Benefit Stay Put Set Review

While at Sephora last weekend I picked this up on the way to the checkout and boy am I glad I did.

The Stay Put Set is a mini set of Benefit’s three best-selling products for your peepers—wrapped up and ready to go!

It includes:

- 0.09 oz Stay Don’t Stray
- 0.11 oz Erase Paste in Medium
- 0.11 oz Creaseless Cream Eyeshadow in R.S.V.P.

I’ve been wearing these products for a week almost and think it’s time for a review.

I’ll start with my favorite product of the set which is the Erase Paste.

Erase Paste is a concentrated, creamy, blendable concealer that instantly brightens and camouflages all-in-one. It’s fabulous for dark circles! I don’t know how I’ve lived without it for so long. A must have product in my opinion.

Stay Don’t Stray is a 360 degree primer for concealers and eyeshadows. It works great, but when I did a test with this on one eye and Urban Decay Primer Potion (my fave primer) on the other eye UDPP won hands down. Maybe if you don’t have super oily lids like myself this product would work great for you, but for now I’ll stick with UDPP.

And lastly the Creaseless Cream Eyeshadow in R.S.V.P. This is a gorgeous sparkling champagne cream shadow. It’s a little too neutral for me to wear on it’s own, but it works great as a base. I like to wear it under Kitten by Stila since they are very similar shades and it helps keep the shadow on all day.

This kit is available at Sephora for only $10.00. It’s worth checking out in my opinion.

Beauty Without Cruelty Mineral Eye Shadow Review

Beauty Without Cruelty Mineral Eye Shadow Review

Hello ladies!

Hope you all had a wonderful Easter weekend.

Today I want to tell you all about a wonderful brand I just recently heard about called Beauty Without Cruelty.

About the brand:

Beauty Without Cruelty has a full line of cruelty-free, vegetarian skin, body, and hair care products made with the finest natural ingredients and organic aroma-therapeutic essential oils, and a full line of colour cosmetics to meet the needs of every woman.

My thoughts:

As a dietary vegan and animal lover I like to use as many cruelty free products as I can. So when I heard about Beauty Without Cruelty I knew I had to give the products a try.

Thankfully, the company was amazing and they sent me a mineral eye shadow in Pride to review.

The first thing I noticed about the shadow was the lovely packaging.

The packaging is very pretty and modern looking. Not your typical plan old boring packaging.

And as for the shadow itself, Pride is a gorgeous purple shade that is quickly becoming a favorite of mine.

Love it!

And the pigmentation on this shadow is amazing!

I would say it’s just as good as products like MAC pigments and Bare Minerals shadows, both of which I adore.

The swatch above is of the shadow wet, which is the way I like to wear my mineral shadows.

You can wear it dry as well if you prefer a more natural look.

Pride Mineral Shadow is $24.00 and you can purchase it here.

Have you tried this brand before? Any favorite products?

I’d love to try some of their other products now so please share your favorites!

Bath & Body Works Country Chic Body Lotion & Mist Review

Bath & Body Works Signature Collection Preview Body Lotion & Mist Country Chic Review

I stepped into Bath & Body Works this weekend to pick up some new hand soap and I left with so much more.

Go figure, right?

In addition to the hand soap I left with 4 plugins, several candles and the new Country Chic lotion and mist.

At first glance I didn’t think it would be something I’d be interested in as I’m not a country chic. But after smelling the products I was sold.

Country Chic is an effortlessly sexy blend of sparkling lemon, bright wildflowers, and spring woods inspired by the fresh air and natural beauty of America’s countryside.

The scent is very Spring so if you’re looking for a new Spring/Summer fragrance/lotion I’d highly recommend these.

The body lotion is on sale right now for $1.00 and the body mist is $2.00.

Pick them up before the price is increased!

You can purchase these products online here or at your local Bath and Body Works.

Anyone else tried Country Chic yet?

Becca Cosmetics The Prairie Moon Collection

September 20, 2010 by: admin

I’m loving Becca Cosmetics The Prairie Moon Collection.

Isn’t it gorgeous?

I think so….

Becca describes the collection like this:

With a mélange of rustic and romantic tones evocative of windblown, grassy plains, the Prairie Moon Collection radiates in a flourish of rugged femininity.

Windswept hair and stormy eyes darkened with greens and grays are tempered by dusty, rose flushed cheeks and a hint of soft caramel nude on the lips.
