Arm & Hammer Dental Care Whitening Booster Review

July 29, 2009 by: admin

Last week while in Target I saw this product and decided to pick it up. I have fairly white teeth already, but I wanted to try this because I drink a lot of tea and I can tell my teeth aren’t as white as they once were.

What they say:

Easier, Faster and 2x More Whitening than the leading whitening strip.

Add to any toothpaste every time you brush!

* Enamel-safe for everyday use
* Peroxide formula with patented liquid calcium
* Feel it working with unique foaming action.

No messiness, no inconvenient extra strips. Contains peroxide, the same ingredient dentists use for whitening.

What we say:

I love this product. After using it for only a week or so my teeth are noticeably whiter. I also like that it doesn’t make my teeth and gums feel sensitive like a lot of other whiteners do. And you wanna know the best part? It only costs $3.99!!!! I would be willing to pay three times that for this product. Have you tried the Arm and Hammer Whitening Booster before? What were your thoughts?

Christina Aguilera’s Fave Beauty Products

December 4, 2008 by: admin

What will you find in Christina Aguilera’s makeup bag?

L’oreal Voluminious Volume Building Mascara in Black.

It’s her favorite drugstore find.

Au Courant Instant Sunless Tanning Lotion.

“I’ve been loyal to Au Courant Instant Sunless Tanning Lotion for years. It’s a lifesaver on tour when I can’t get outside much, plus I hate the sun – it makes skin age. “

MAC Lipstick in Lady Danger.

Dior Creme Apricot.

“I use Dior Creme Apricot every night before bed. It’s a nail cream, but you can use it for a lot more. I’ll put it on my lips too.”

Nars Lipliner Pencil in Jungle Red.

Celebrity Beauty Favorites

October 14, 2008 by: admin

Cosmopolitan asked 100 of the sexiest stars to pick their all-time favorite beauty products for their October issue. It’s an interesting read so make sure you pick up a copy, but in the meantime we’ve listed a few below.

Rihanna and Leighton Meester – Covergirl Lash Blast Mascara

Christina Applegate and Kimora Lee Simmons – Creme de La Mer

Victoria Beckham, Jennifer Love Hewitt and Carmen Electra – Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream Skin Protectant

Sophia Bush – Benefit Badgal Mascara

Fergie – Mac Pro Lash Mascara

Jennie Garth and Pink – Rosebud Salve

Vanessa Minnillo – Estee Lauder Hydra Bright Skin Tone Perfecting Moisturizer

Charlize Theron – Dior Snow Pure White Base

Niki Taylor – Sensai Silky Purifying Creamy Soap

Liv Tyler – Astara Blue Flame Purification Mask

What is your favorite beauty product? Please share it with us. If I had to choose only one item it would probably have to be my Bare Escentuals foundation, because I use it everyday. If I could choose two favorites I would have to include Maybelline Colassal Mascara.

Allure Magazine Best of Beauty Awards 2008

September 29, 2008 by: admin

Allure magazine tested thousands of products to find the best in beauty for their October 2008 issue. Did your favorite products make the list?

Best Lip Gloss:

Clinique Long Last Glosswear SPF 15

Best Mascara:

Lancome High Definicils High Definition Mascara for day and Max Factor Volume Couture High Volume & Definition Mascara for night.

My thoughts:

Really? I didn’t care much for either of those mascaras myself. I guess that just goes to show you that some products work great for one person and not so great for another.

Best Primer:

Smashbox Photo Finish Light Foundation Primer.

Best Medium Coverage Foundation:

Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay in Place Makeup SPF 10.

Best Anti Aging Treatment:

For day Aveeno Positively Radiant Daily Moisturizer SPF 30 and for night RoC Retinol Correxion Deep Wrinkle Night Cream.

Best Shampoo and Conditioner:

For normal hair the choice was Fekkai Glossing Shampoo and Conditioner.

For a complete list of winners check out the October issue of Allure magazine on newstands now. What do you think of the results? Did any of your favorites win?

ANEW CLINICAL Advanced Dermabrasion System Review

July 3, 2008 by: admin

I may sound like a beauty snob, but when I think of great skincare, I don’t think of Avon. Avon has changed a lot in recent years though and I need to remember that. I decided to give Anew Clinical Advanced Dermabrasion a try recently(after reading a lot of great things about it) and I’m so glad I did. It’s now one of my “I can’t live without it products”. I’m so obsessed with it in fact that I’ve been buying them as gifts for my beauty obsessed friends and family members.

To Use:

Apply to clean, wet skin. Starting with Level 1, use 2 to 3 times a week for 2 weeks before proceeding to the next level. After completing all 4 levels (8 weeks) stop using for 2 to 3 weeks and then start over at Level 1.

I saw results with this product after the first use. I’m now heading into level four and my skin has never looked better. This is a must-have product for anyone who suffers with enlarged pores, age spots & light acne scarring. I’ve even heard people say they switched from more expensive products to this one because its so great. I give this product 5 out of 5 stars!!

Have you tried this product? What were your thoughts?
