I wanted to start the week off with a review of a new product I’ve been using for close to a month now, CoverGirl’s New LashBlast Fusion Mascara.

Lashblast Fusion is said to combine the best of both worlds – giving you both volume and length. So does it work?

Not really. It adds some volume, but no length. It’s also hard to remove and tends to get clumpier easier than the original.

Overall, My final verdict is : I like it, but I don’t love it. This mascara will never become a holy grail for me like the original lash blast has. Pretty disappointing. I give it a 3.5 out of 5 stars.

As you all know I’m a huge fan of Cover Girl Lash Blast mascara. So imagine my excitement when I ran across Lash Blast Luxe while at CVS this weekend. Luxe is a new mascara from Cover Girl that offers a touch of shimmer.

I picked up Black Platinum which is black with silver sparkles and after wearing it for the past few days I’m ready to give you my review.

The Pros:

• Pink Tube instead of Orange
• Gives amazing length and volume
• Offers a hint of sparkle/shimmer
• Removes easily with soap and water
• Hypoallergenic & suitable for contact lens wearers

The Cons:

• I wish it offered more sparkle because you can barely tell it’s there at all

Verdict:

If you loved the old Lash Blast then you’ll love this one even more. I just wish the sparkles were more noticeable. I give this one 5 out of 5 stars.

I was flipping through my husbands Consumer Reports magazine today when I came across a review on mascaras. They asked a panel of 34 staffers to use 16 washable black mascaras for six weeks. They then rated each on overall performance, ease of application, brush, look on lashes, durability, and ease of removal.

The Winner was Lancome Definicils. But they found several other very good mascaras which can be found at the drugstore: Max Factor Lash Perfection Volume Couture, Maybelline Define A Lash Volume, Cover Girl Volume Exact, and Loreal Telescopic Clean Defintion and Lengthening.

I personally have never been a fan of Definicils. I was also disappointed to see two of my favorites didn’t make the list: CoverGirl Lash Blast and Maybelline The Colassal. What are your thoughts on the list? What is your favorite mascara?

What is your favorite beauty product? Please share it with us. If I had to choose only one item it would probably have to be my Bare Escentuals foundation, because I use it everyday. If I could choose two favorites I would have to include Maybelline Colassal Mascara.

Cover Girl Wet Slicks Amaze Mint gloss is AMAZING! I have to admit I only picked this up because it was free, but boy am I glad I did.

Pros:

• Mint Flavor which leaves you feeling fresh
• Packaging. I love lip glosses with a wand.
• Non sticky texture.
• 13 great shades(several of which are formulated to make your teeth appear whiter.)
• Price

Cons:

• The only con I could find with this gloss is that it doesn’t have a whole lot of staying power. It’s OK though, because of the fresh mint feeling it gives you I find myself wanting to reapply it over and over.

Overall, I give this gloss 2 thumbs up. I like it so much I’ll even go as far as to say this is my favorite drugstore gloss at the moment! Hurry to your local CVS and check it out for free. Don’t live near a CVS? It’s OK you can find it elsewhere for around $5.99.

At the moment, I’m obsessed with Cover Girl Lash Blast Mascara. I actually have a few back ups of it, because it was on sale and I cannot pass up a great sale. But now it seems like everyone on the internet is talking about Maybelline Colossal Mascara. It’s the best thing since sliced bread they say and boy did I listen. I was at CVS this weekend and since it was buy one get one 50% off I picked up two of them. I got home and eagerly tried out the Colossal and was very disappointed. My lashes were longer but kinda stringy looking and it got clumpy pretty fast. It also smelled really bad. Yuck! I’ll stick with my Cover Girl Lash Blast thank you very much.


So today I decided to take pictures with Colossal on one eye and Lash Blast on the other. It was hard to get a picture of my own lashes, but you get the idea. And just so you know, the Colossal photographs much better than it looks in real life, trust me.
