Benefit Watt's Up

New from Benefit Watt’s Up Highlighter!

What they say:

Our soft focus highlighter turns on “watt” ya got with a delicate champagne glow that’s gorgeous. With a cream-to-powder finish…it’s a switch on “wow” for all complexions. You’ll adore the smooth applicator & luminous sheen.

My thoughts:

Benefit already makes my all time favorite highlighter, High Beam, so I can’t wait to try this one.

June 2011 Beauty Favorites

June 27, 2011 by: admin

Are you someone who has a million beauty products, but always uses the same few over and over and over?

If so you’re just like me.

It seems like I’ve used nothing, but these few products over and over again lately.

2011 Summer/June Beauty Favorites

1. Prtty Peaushun Body Lotion. This stuff is amazing!
2. Xen Tan Daily Self Tan. Best self tanner I’ve ever used!
3. Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray. Use this and your makeup won’t budge all day!
4. Origins Vitazing Moisturizer. The only “foundation” I’ve been wearing lately.
5. Pro Face No Sweat Perspiration Retardant. Use this under your foundation for those days you’ll be in the sun a lot, but still want to look fresh.
6. Organix Moroccan Argan Oil. This product prevents UV damage to your hair and leaves it soft and smooth.
7. Lorac Double Feature Concealer and Highlighter. Decent product, not sure if I’d repurchase yet though.
8. Revlon Just Bitten Lipstain in Frenzy. I normally don’t like lipstains, but this is great for a day at the beach or at the pool because it stays put.
9. Urban Decay Naked Palette. Love this palette!
10. Mehron Setting Powder. This antiperspirant product is great for keeping the summer greasy look away.
11. Victoria’s Secret Radiant Face Trio in White Hot. Love this highligher. It’s just gorgeous.
12. Not pictured, but a favorite none the less is Benefits Creaseless Shadow in RSVP. Wear this under Urban Decays Sin as a primer and my shadow lasts all day.

And a swatch. Isn’t it gorgeous?

Benefit Stay Put Set Review

Benefit Stay Put Set Review

While at Sephora last weekend I picked this up on the way to the checkout and boy am I glad I did.

The Stay Put Set is a mini set of Benefit’s three best-selling products for your peepers—wrapped up and ready to go!

It includes:

- 0.09 oz Stay Don’t Stray
- 0.11 oz Erase Paste in Medium
- 0.11 oz Creaseless Cream Eyeshadow in R.S.V.P.

I’ve been wearing these products for a week almost and think it’s time for a review.

I’ll start with my favorite product of the set which is the Erase Paste.

Erase Paste is a concentrated, creamy, blendable concealer that instantly brightens and camouflages all-in-one. It’s fabulous for dark circles! I don’t know how I’ve lived without it for so long. A must have product in my opinion.

Stay Don’t Stray is a 360 degree primer for concealers and eyeshadows. It works great, but when I did a test with this on one eye and Urban Decay Primer Potion (my fave primer) on the other eye UDPP won hands down. Maybe if you don’t have super oily lids like myself this product would work great for you, but for now I’ll stick with UDPP.

And lastly the Creaseless Cream Eyeshadow in R.S.V.P. This is a gorgeous sparkling champagne cream shadow. It’s a little too neutral for me to wear on it’s own, but it works great as a base. I like to wear it under Kitten by Stila since they are very similar shades and it helps keep the shadow on all day.

This kit is available at Sephora for only $10.00. It’s worth checking out in my opinion.

Have you tried any of these products before? What are your thoughts?

Please share.

New Product: Benefit Girl Meets Pearl

September 2, 2010 by: admin

Happy Thursday! The weekend is in sight…. I can’t wait!

I’m a luminizer type of girl. I can’t help it. Promise me glowing skin and I’ll buy your product, it’s really that simple. So today when I heard that Benefit had a new product out called Girl Meets Pearl I got so excited. See I’m already a huge fan of Benefit’s High Beam so I know I’ll love Girl Meets Pearl.

Girl Meets Pearl promises you a breathtakingly luminous complexion. Just twist up & pat on over makeup or wear alone for a dewy luxurious lit-from-within glow. It’s pure pearly pleasure!

I plan on doing some retail therapy this weekend so this product will hopefully be coming home with me. Have you tried Girl Meets Pearl yet? I’d love to hear your reviews!

Girl Meets Pearl retails for: $30.00 here.

New Benefit Palettes Scene Queen and Sunday Funday

June 29, 2010 by: admin

Hello there. Hope you’ve all had a wonderful day!

I just spotted these two great new palettes from Benefit and had to tell you about them.

My favorite is this one – Scene Queen – The New Annie Collection.

“Scene Queen creates the perfect ‘night on the town’ look. With incredible eyeshadows and vivid pops of color, this kit will pump up the volume and take you from the office to girls’ night out. Heads will turn, jaws will drop…and drinks will be on the house!”—Annie Ford Danielson, Benefit Makeup Trend Artist

This one is called – Sunday Funday – The New Maggie Collection.

“Sunday Fun Day is all about pulling together a fresh, fabulous look after a late night. Whether you were up watching movies or dancing ’til dawn, this kit has the prettiest eyeshadows and complexion essentials to make you look beautifully revived…just in time for brunch. Waiter, coffee and mimosas, please!”—Maggie Ford Danielson, Benefit Makeup Trend Artist

My favorite part about these is the fact that the kits close shut with a magnet and stay open with a full size mirror (perfect for applying makeup or traveling!).

Available online only at Sephora.com.
