Obliphica Treatment Hair Shampoo 17.7 Fl. Oz $33.00

Obliphica Treatment Hair Shampoo

What they say:

For very dry, colored or damaged hair.

Obliphica Shampoo has active ingredients for cleaning hair and scalp, while stabilizing your hair’s PH balance and preventing dandruff. It helps maintain your hair’s natural color and prevents graying. Obliphica Shampoo contains UV screen, thus keeping your hair from drying out, and maintaining its natural moisture.

The shampoo is made of extracts of the Obliphica fruit for intensive treatment, with added natural vitamin E to keep your hair healthy and shiny.

Obliphica Treatment Hair Mask 8.45 Fl. Oz $32.95

Obliphica Treatment Hair Mask

What they say:

Obliphica has an advanced formula for intensive treatment of very dry, colored hair.
The creamy texture of the mask penetrates hair structure and envelops it in softness.
Your hair looks shiny and healthy, and has a pleasant fragrance.

The Obliphica plant contains many vitamins (A,E,C,K), and oils (tea tree, olive, rosemary etc.), 18 amino acids, 11 trace minerals and naturally balanced omega 3,6,9 essential fatty acids that are crucial for a healthy scalp and hair.

Original Hair Serum 2.21 Fl. Oz $34.95

What they say:

A unique serum produced from the Obliphica (aka Sea Buckthorn, Sallow Thorn) fruit, traditionally known for its wonderful healing effect on hair and skin.
Rich in many vitamins, carotenoids (alfa and beta-carotene) and with an especially large proportion of vitamin E, Obliphica Serum restores damaged hair, brings back the luster to your hair and makes combing a breeze.

It will protect hair structure from free radicals and fulfill the needs of malnourished, depleted hair and unbalanced scalps.

My thoughts:

I think the Obliphica Treatment Shampoo and Hair Mask may be the best shampoo/conditioner I’ve used to date.

The shampoo cleans my hair without drying it out or leaving a yucky buildup and the hair mask is AMAZING!

My hair has never felt so soft and the serum is a nice addition to the other two products.

I put it on my hair after I get out of the shower and wow my hair has such a brilliant shine to it.

I feel like I should be in a haircare commercial after using these products.

Maybe she’s born with it….Maybe it’s Obliphica, lol.

There’s a reason the creator of these products John Blaine, has a celebrity clientele that includes the likes of Paris Hilton, Dita Von Teese, Kendra Wilkinson and Mariah Carey just to name a few.

Have you tried these products before?

What were your thoughts?

Obliphica products are not tested on animals which I love and can be purchased online at Obliphica.com.

Beauty Tips from Dr.Oz

To those that know me very well it’s no secret that I adore Dr.Oz.

I think it’s his natural approach to health and wellness, but whatever it is I’m hooked.

I was looking through one of my notebooks today and realized that I’ve taken down quite a few beauty tips in the past few months from his show.

I’m including a few of my favorites below..

Tip #1.
Looking to avoid getting wrinkles?

Take Primrose Oil 500mg twice a day.

Tip #2.
Split Ends?

Take 550mg of black currant essential oil twice a day.

Tip #3.
Want healthy,glowing skin?

Make a mask:

1. Put 3 spoonfuls of coffee grinds into a bowl

2. Put in a small amount of extra virgin olive oil

3. Mix

4. Apply to face and wait for a few minutes then wipe off.

Voila. Soft, glowing skin.

Tip #4.
Got oily hair?

Try Apple Cider Vinegar. Dilute vinegar by mixing one tablespoon into one cup of water. Apply it to hair and then rinse.

I’ve tried the coffee mask and apple cider vinegar and they both work great.

If you try any of these diy beauty tips let me know how it works for you.

Get the look: Shakira’s hair from the 2011 Latin Grammy Awards

Get Shakira's hair from the Latin Grammy Awards

Hair Look:

Wella Professionals Celebrity Stylist Andy LeCompte was hard at work behind the scenes of the 2011 Latin Grammy Awards, creating not one, but three different hairstyles for award-winner and performer Shakira. First Andy created a loose, sexy up-do for her walk down the red carpet, next, he let the singer’s hair down for some glamorous waves for her award wins and then a more rock and roll style as she took center stage with a performance.

Look #1.

1. Wash hair with Wella Professionals Enrich Shampoo and Conditioner to maximize volume and shine.

2. Prep wet hair with Wella Professionals Velvet Amplifier Style Primer, then blow-dry the hair with a large round brush.

3. Curves: The 34-year-old’s gown featured a bedazzled bodice, which also tended to accentuate her cleavage. Spray hair with Wella Professionals Ocean Spritz Beach Texture Spray to create matte texture to create the loose – slightly undone look.

4. Pull back the rest of the hair in a loose, natural piece-y chignon and pin it with a mixture of bobby pins and long T pins.

5. Pull down a few loose pieces and use a curling iron to give them a slight curl.

6. Spray the finished look with Wella Professionals Dynamic Fix 45 Second Crafting Spray to set.

Look #2.

1. Blow out hair with Wella Professionals Flowing Form Smoothing Balm to create lots of body and lift, and then set hair in Velcro rollers.

2. Take a 1 ¼ inch curling iron and curled and pin hair in horizontal sections.

3. Let hair set for about 20 minutes and then brush hair off to one side with a boar bristle brush.

4. Lift bang area with a rattail comb and spray with Wella Professionals Stay Firm Finishing Spray.

5. Spritz the hair with Wella Professionals Shimmer Delight Shine Spray for an all over radiant glow.

Look #3.

1. Use Wella Professionals Enrich Care regimen to condition hair for a silky smooth result without weighing it down.

2. Apply Wella Professionals Extra Volume Styling Mousse directly to a vent brush and comb from the root to the end for thorough application.

3. Blow dry the hair completely smooth with a ceramic brush.

4. Spray hair evenly with light application of Wella Professionals Thermal Image Heat Protection Spray and separate hair into small sections and use a medium to large barrel curling iron to set loose waves.

5. Spray hair with Wella Professionals Ocean Spritz Beach Texture Spray to create matte texture to create the loose – slightly undone look.

6. Use Wella Shimmer Delight Shine Spray to add extra natural shine to the hair.

7. Aerate hair with fingers then set with Wella Professionals Stay Firm Finishing Spray to control fly-aways, tucking the hair behind one ear and giving it an all-over polished look.

June 2011 Beauty Favorites

June 27, 2011 by: admin

Are you someone who has a million beauty products, but always uses the same few over and over and over?

If so you’re just like me.

It seems like I’ve used nothing, but these few products over and over again lately.

2011 Summer/June Beauty Favorites

1. Prtty Peaushun Body Lotion. This stuff is amazing!
2. Xen Tan Daily Self Tan. Best self tanner I’ve ever used!
3. Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray. Use this and your makeup won’t budge all day!
4. Origins Vitazing Moisturizer. The only “foundation” I’ve been wearing lately.
5. Pro Face No Sweat Perspiration Retardant. Use this under your foundation for those days you’ll be in the sun a lot, but still want to look fresh.
6. Organix Moroccan Argan Oil. This product prevents UV damage to your hair and leaves it soft and smooth.
7. Lorac Double Feature Concealer and Highlighter. Decent product, not sure if I’d repurchase yet though.
8. Revlon Just Bitten Lipstain in Frenzy. I normally don’t like lipstains, but this is great for a day at the beach or at the pool because it stays put.
9. Urban Decay Naked Palette. Love this palette!
10. Mehron Setting Powder. This antiperspirant product is great for keeping the summer greasy look away.
11. Victoria’s Secret Radiant Face Trio in White Hot. Love this highligher. It’s just gorgeous.
12. Not pictured, but a favorite none the less is Benefits Creaseless Shadow in RSVP. Wear this under Urban Decays Sin as a primer and my shadow lasts all day.

Close up of Victorias Secret White Hot face trio.

And a swatch. Isn’t it gorgeous?

What products are you loving this month?

Beauty and Style Rules I learned from Kim Kardashian

June 10, 2011 by: admin

I don’t know about you, but I adore Kim Kardashian.

She always seems so glamorous and put together.

Here are a few beauty and style rules she always seems to follow.

A Denim Jacket never goes out of style and it can be worn over a maxi dress for a super cute look this summer.

A smokey eye/nude lip combo is the perfect go to makeup for a night on the town.

Oversized sunglasses

Ripped Jeans
Photobucket

“I’m loving the ripped jeans look! Also, I’ve been embracing “recession-ista” style which is why I co-founded ShoeDazzle.com. Women need to be able to stay trendy and fashion-forward without having to spend a fortune.”

Oversized Bags

Be proud of your curves!

“I love curves. Being super skinny just isn’t attractive to me.”

Don’t be afraid to try new looks from time to time.

“You make mistakes, but I don’t have any regrets. I’m the kind of person who takes responsibility for it and deals with it. I learn from everything I do. “

And last, but not least remember it’s ok to forget all the rules and just go bare sometimes.
