Dior Makeup Fall 2011

Let’s all stop for a moment and take in this beautiful palette from the Dior Mitzah Collection.

Am I the only one who wants it just because it’s so beautiful, not because I think I’d use it?

Love….love….love….

This line will also include two shades of nail polish in camel and ebony, five-color eye shadow palette and Dior Show mascara in a shimmery brown color.

The Dior Mitzah Collection is at www.sephora.com in August and on beauty counters in September.

Pixiwoo Samantha Chapman presents Real Techniques

April 5, 2011 by: admin

The Pixiwoo girls are probably my favorite makeup “gurus” out there. They both seem so down to earth and are just adorable. How can you not love them?

Plus since my sister and I are both makeup artists and around the same age as Sam and Nic I feel like we have something in common.

So when I saw the video above I was very excited for the girls and I knew I would have to check out Sam’s brushes.

So off to Ulta this past weekend I went in search of the Real Techniques brushes but I couldn’t find them anywhere. So I stood in line for 15 minutes just to ask the cashier if they had them in stock.

Come to find out they did, but they hadn’t unpacked them yet (though the sets had already sold out without ever making it out on shelves!), so I asked the cashier if she could go get them out of the boxes for me.

Thankfully she did and the brushes were mine.

I purchased the only three brushes they had in stock which were the blush brush ($8.99) the stippling brush ($9.99) and shading brush ($5.99).

I’ve used them several times over the last few days and even washed them and I have to say they’re amazing quality. In fact I would say they’re just as good as high end department store brushes. Department store quality at drugstore prices how can you beat that?

You should definitely check these brushes out.

I plan on picking up all of them whenever they become available at my Ulta.

Congrats Sam on the great brushes.

I wish you the best of luck with your new adventure.

Have you tried these brushes yet?

What did you think of them?

Please share!!

Best!

P.S. The face brushes stand up on their own so they look adorable standing on your vanity and all the brushes are cruelty free since Sam is a vegetarian like myself. Love that!

Purchase the brushes at Ulta stores or online here.

Urban Decay Urbanglow Cream Highlight in Sin Review

Urban Decay Urbanglow Cream Highlight in Sin

I love me some highlighters so when I saw the Urban Decay Urbanglow Cream Highlight in Sin at Sephora recently I squealed with excitement and quickly ran to checkout.

Immediately after leaving Sephora I perched myself on a bench and tried it out.

Yes, I am “that” girl.

So what did I think of it?

IT’S FREEEEAKING AMAZING!!!!

Was that in all cap locks?

Sorry, but I had to get the point across somehow.

This product is non-greasy and it gives your skin this amazing dewy, youthful glow.

I would say it’s a similar look to Benefit Highbeam, though I like this one better so far.

I apply it to my cheek and brow bone, cupids bow, etc.

It’s perfect for that candlelit glow.

I’ve only used it a couple of times at this point, but I have to say it may become my favorite highlighter.

Yes, It really is that good!

Have you tried this product?

What were your thoughts?

Retails for $24.00 at Sephora.

Napoleon Perdis Baked Powder Peach Set Review

February 21, 2011 by: admin

What they say:

NP Set Baked Powder features two hues to highlight and shade in one easy-to-use compact. The powder can be applied wet or dry to enhance your complexion. The powder contains vitamins A, C and E, which work to heal and nourish skin, leaving it smooth and soft.

My thoughts:

I was in Target when I noticed this Napoleon Perdis powder on the clearance end cap. Does your Target have one of those? I always check it out right after I hit up the makeup row, haha.

I’ve been wanting to try a lot of the Napoleon Perdis products, but I just feel like they’re too expensive. So when I saw this powder was marked down from $20.00 to $2.54 I snatched it up.

This powder can be used as a blush or you can use it as a contour/highlight product.

It can also be used wet or dry.

It leaves a gorgeous healthy flush to your cheeks. And so far I’m loving it.

A great deal for sure for only $2.54!!

Have you ever tried this product?

What were your thoughts?

Hurry to your local Target soon to see what you can find on sale. Mine had loads of other Napoleon P products, but unfortunately they were all broken or smashed.

Make sure you come back and let me know what you find.

Gorgeous Mac Wonder Woman Blushes Review

February 10, 2011 by: admin

(Amazon Princess top Mighty Aphrodite bottom)

My Mac Wonder Woman blushes finally arrived in the mail and they’re gorgeous!

I only picked up the two blushes from the collection, because that’s all that caught my eye.

I thought Amazon Princess would be my favorite, but I have to say I’m loving Mighty Aphrodite more.

Also these are HUGE blushes so for those people like myself who were complaining about the price don’t, because the reason it costs more is because you get a lot more with these.

Can’t say enough about these blushes. They are worth every cent!

Check them out before they’re gone!

What did you pick up from The Wonder Woman Collection?

MAC Wonder Woman Collection Online Now!

February 1, 2011 by: admin

The wait is over. The Mac Wonder Woman Collection is availble online now.

What will you be picking up?

I picked up both blushes. I’m also considering picking up one of the skinfinishes, but I haven’t made up my mind yet.

I’ll be back to report my thoughts as soon as they arrive! Can’t wait.
