Nars Sheer Glow Foundation Review

Remember how I said I’d never go back to liquid foundation again? Well, I lied….sort of.
I still love my Bare Minerals, but thanks to colder temperatures and the use of retinol my skin has become super dry. Dry skin + Mineral Makeup = bad. So what’s a girl to do? Go shopping of course! With a Sephora Giftcard in hand, I headed off to the mall to see what I could find that would fit my foundation criteria which is….
- Doesn’t feel heavy or look cakey
- Lasts all day
- Won’t break me out
- Has a color that matches my skin tone
So did I find a product that matched that criteria? You betcha and I think I found my Holy Grail liquid foundation as well.
Nars Sheer Glow is amazing. It’s a medium coverage foundation that somehow manages to feel like you’re not wearing anything at all on your skin. This foundation is pretty much perfection. The coverage is great and the finish is flawless. It’s not a matte finish, but not glowy either just perfect. I wish I could put into words how great this product is, but I can’t so you’re going to have to try it for yourself. Stop by Sephora and see if you can get a sample of it you won’t be disappointed. Sephora Research Results show that 96% of users would recommend the foundation to their friends.
This foundation retails for $42.00 and is totally worth the money.
For those curious I’m a NC 20 in Mac, Fairly Light in Bare Minerals and Deauville is the perfect match for my skintone.
Also worth the money is the Nars Makeup Primer which I received for Christmas. Nars Makeup Primer is a gel-cream consistency and it keeps my Sheer Glow looking flawless all day. Love it!
Nars Primer retails for $33.00
Have you tried either of these products? What were your thoughts?

I love Nars, I have yet to try this product. I think with my oily skin, I should try their new Matte foundation. Thanks for the review about the primer I might try it. I love Nars in general, you cannot go wrong.
Hi Renea.
You should try the primer for sure. I have an oily tzone and the sheer glow works find for me. Maybe you should check your Sephora and see if you can get samples of both before you commit to one foundation since it’s kinda pricey. If you purchase any of the products I’d love to hear a review.
In which Mac foundation are you a NC20? Because I’m wondering if I should get Deauville as well. kind regards Lea
Hi Lea.
I’m a NC20 in the Satinfinish foundation. I think I was NC20 in the Studio Fix Fluid as well, but it broke me out so I haven’t used that one in a long time.
If you decide to purchase Deauville make sure it’s from somewhere you can return it in case it doesn’t work for you.
When I was color tested for the Sheer Glow from Sephora the lady told me Deauville is for pale neutral skin toned ladies. The lighter shade is really white and the rest of the shades have a lot of heavy yellow undertones in them.
Hope that helps.
Let me know how you like the foundation if you try it.
