Cover Girl Lash Blast vs Maybelline Colossal Mascara

At the moment, I’m obsessed with Cover Girl Lash Blast Mascara. I actually have a few back ups of it, because it was on sale and I cannot pass up a great sale. But now it seems like everyone on the internet is talking about Maybelline Colossal Mascara. It’s the best thing since sliced bread they say and boy did I listen. I was at CVS this weekend and since it was buy one get one 50% off I picked up two of them. I got home and eagerly tried out the Colossal and was very disappointed. My lashes were longer but kinda stringy looking and it got clumpy pretty fast. It also smelled really bad. Yuck! I’ll stick with my Cover Girl Lash Blast thank you very much.
So today I decided to take pictures with Colossal on one eye and Lash Blast on the other. It was hard to get a picture of my own lashes, but you get the idea. And just so you know, the Colossal photographs much better than it looks in real life, trust me.
So which mascara do you think looks best on me? Have you tried them? What were your thoughts?

You do have pretty eyes. I think the Colossal looks better. As I note in the above post comments, it’s taken about a month or so, but the Colossal is now my favorite mascara over the Lash Blast. The smell is annoying, but it dissipates after a few minutes, and I really like the results. Of course, with the Colossal, I do have to use a lash comb, which I don’t have to do with Lash Blast, but it’s worth the extra effort.
I think the Covergirl Lash Blast looks better or should I say fuller. I use Lash Blast myself and it does dry out fast but it works wonders.

Kate – Thank you. My eyes are blue, but some people say they see a tiny hint of green.
Katie – Thank you! Do you have any tips on using Colossal? I feel like it left my lashes clumpy and spidery almost. Maybe I should invest in a lash comb.
Heather – Lash Blast is great isn’t it? I haven’t had problems with mine drying out yet. Maybe you just got a bad tube? Thanks for the comment.
